Well after 20 years of being owned by dogs and now on my fifth dog I finally have a pup who is awesome from the start !! We went to our first class today and she was a dream. Confident but not pushy, interested but not distracted. She was the youngest by far and was just so calm. I am chuffed and a little smug ! Meg now 13 weeks has been a delight from day one, we can't believe how lucky we are to have her. Emma .
Re: First puppy class Not quite jammy John I have had 2 particularly pesky Newfoundlands and Malamute that calmed down at 7. I do think its my time
Re: First puppy class Well deserved!!! You only get one. Unfortunately for me I've already had my turn so it's rapscallions from here on in. Unless you can clone Meg.....
Re: First puppy class Good for you Emma. I've owned 4 dogs (3 from puppies) and they've each been so different. I've already had my easy one!
Re: First puppy class That is so nice to hear - if a little galling for all those struggling with their 'naughty' pups!!! Enjoy it, it's a real gift if you get a calm well-behaved puppy like Meg.
Re: First puppy class Thanks Karen. I did do my homework and her parents are both super calm. I have also socialised her really thoroughly since 8 weeks so I guess a bit of nature and nurture.
