Arnie is six months old now. So far he's been a complete delight. Placid, non destructive, easy to train and so on. However, yesterday I saw the first signs of the terrible teens. As some of you may know we have just moved into our newly built house and we just had fencing and turfing go down over the last few days. Yesterday I had him outside with me on my freshly laid turf while the pump man was there working on my water tank pump. The little bugger ducked his head around the corner and out of sight and ripped up the lawn. He got in trouble. Next up was when we said our goodbyes to the landscaper and left him inside for what couldn't have been more than 10 minutes (we left him while he was happily chewing a rawhide bone). When we came back in he had ripped up the paperwork that the aforementioned pump man gave me. He got in trouble again. On the up side, it was pretty hilarious watching him lose his mind when I turned the irrigation sprinklers on and they came up out of the ground spraying all this water!! He ran around like a lunatic and got soaked. Had a great time. I guess he's acting out a little because he's been so immobilised lately with his desexing operation. Ah puppies
Yeah, puppies Having less activity than normal definitely does make 'the crazies' come out. Now you know how to prompt Arnie to burn off a bit of steam though - just turn on the sprinklers! Hope the grass makes a full recovery.
Ha yeah, you shoulda seen him. His stitches come out tomorrow. I'll try n get a video of the sprinkler crazies. Btw, I had no questions in this post. It was merely observation and sharing
