I am sooooooo excited to be able to write this thread, so please stay with me whilst I have a major boast ;D

Hattie and I had just started our walk through the paddock of pregnant Ewes, over the stile where we do a stop whistle sit and a very long wait whilst I walk 80 ish meters down the track and whistle recall her in - perfect :) I spotted a Pheasant and really hoped Hattie had (sorry Pheasant :() as I wanted to try out our first stop whistle with prey. Of course Hattie spotted it running through the low wheat crop and off she went at great speed  She got to about 30 meters and one loud blast STOP whistle and she slammed the brakes on, a recall whistle and she was back like a shot sitting right infront of me, front paws on my boots looking straight up at me, she got a big piece of dried tripe which she loves :D

On the way back I didn't want to push my luck with another distant stop whistle when she flushed a Pheasant so I recalled her and back she came immediately straight over a fence and back sitting infront of me :)

Hattie never ceases to amaze me at how quickly she picks things up, we have only been working on recall and stop whistle for about 7 months and she is 6 1/2 years old. I am massively proud of her and who knows one day you might even see Labradoodles in the shooting field ;)

I love Hattie oodles :* xxx

Just wanted to share my little success today. I was walking with Hattie up a hill, when we reached the top there sitting about 20 meters away was a very large Hare, Hattie was a little infront and spotted it, she was just getting ready to chase so I blew my stop whistle loudly, she stopped immediately, followed by a whistle recall straight to me, I nearly gave her my whole bag of treats I was so thrilled :D :D xx

Wonderful! Hattie's behaviour must give you a lot of encouragement when facing the challenges Charlie presents.
