Hiya every1 I'm new to this site and have just fetched my new black lab bitch she is 8 weeks old I don't intend on training yet as I want her to be a puppy .... I have worked with labs before but never actually training one personally from day 1
So I am after some advice on what age people recommend and the first thing my guesses are
    Praise
    Sit
    Here
    Heel
    Starting On A Leash
    Retrieving

Please tell me if I'm wrong

Hi there and welcome to the forum!
Have you a name for your girl yet? And being nosy, are you based in the UK?
It is an exciting and busy time bringing a new pup home, and when you say that you don't intend on training her yet, I assume gundog type stuff, because sit, here, heel etc is all part of day to day training and all part of our relationship with our dogs from the minute we get them home! There are some really useful links on Pippa's Puppy Training and Care thread if you click here it will cover all the areas you might find of use.
If it was me, personally, I would work on the "let your puppy of the lead" part of training and the recall, since that is my weakpoint.
By the way, I live in Scotland with my family which includes Lilly, a black girl age 4 and a bit.

Thanks all ... yes were from Nottinghamshire

Her name is belle ... yes training to become a gun dog

He recall is quite good I think she is very good at the left side and sits great when I stop walking constantly following me and staying at my feet ... I think I have fell lucky but hoping I ain't spoke to soon .....

    So master the sit ..

When I feed her I make.her sit and wait but I do have to hold her back as she is straight there ... but again early days only 8 and bit week :)

First thing we teach is a general no, so whatever is happening if I say no it stops instantly. My husband works on the sits and stays etc but no is what saves the home and stops littler dog getting trampled on.

I started from day 1. It was basically a way of playing with her.

I taught "give paw". She caught on really fast and it was a success for both of us.

At a year she still like "give paw" and to have her paw and foreleg massaged by my thumb.

Hi there, and welcome to the forum

    I would start with

    1. Outdoors in the open: 'run to me' - get your puppy chasing after you and associate a recall whistle with that action
    2. Indoors: a hand touch. This is a great 'connecter' tiny puppies, gets them used to focusing on you, and working for food.
    3. In the garden: 'walk next to me' - a precursor for heel work - no lead.

Here's a video to get you going with the first one: Labrador Puppy Recall
