I'm guessing you are not in the uk? Here we only have two vaccinations. Vets generally advice waiting two weeks after the second, however it can vary on where you live and the risks in your area. For example my mum lives in the countryside and her vet said it was ok to take her pup out straight away aftrt the second vax, whereas I live in the city and was told to wait the full two weeks.

The best thing is to follow your vets instructions, as they can judge what the local situation is. Hang in there, a week here or there is nothing in the long run, compared to the health of your pup. :)

Guide Dogs have three vaccinations in the UK

6, 12 and 16 weeks, so Gypsy can't go on grass 'till she's 17 weeks as we have to wait a week after the third.

I have been carrying her everywhere and letting her walk in non-dog areas. No puppy classes except Guide Dog classes 'till then either. It means her lead work is great (13 weeks) but recall will need some work when the time comes!

Couldn't agree more. There are some very knowledgeable people on this forum but ... your local vet is placed placed to advise on your particular circumstances.
