Hi We currently feed our puppy Eukanuba however his poos are very soft and needs up once through the night and does an extremely runny one. He is being fed 3 times a day. We had to change from the original breeders food on advice from vet as all his poos were getting runny.

At the moment he gets the Eukanuba and a cup of rice - tried reducing the rice however poos went runnier again.

Have been looking at other foods and seen some suggestions of Burns puppy or James Beloved - has anybody else had these problems and which food do you use.

Obviously do not want to chop and change the food but need to find one which agrees with his tummy.

Try giving him no kibble at all for a couple of days . Feed cooked cooled rice with plain boiled chicken or boiled white fish , keep the rice fairly sloppy and watery to help prevent dehydration . This should sort his tummy out fairly quickly , adding some natural yoghurt, the live variety , will also help to redress the inner balance in his gut . Then , once his poo becomes firm , very slowly add kibble , maybe half and half to start with , Burns , Skinners , both good brands . If he still has runny offerings, then it might be worth having a chat with your Vet in case he has some sort of bacterial infection or something like giardia , both can be treated quite easily , good luck .

Good advise from Kate. Important to sort out the runny poos and then introduce a new food slowly.

Thanks ladies the chicken and rice worked well the last time he got really bad and decided to change thinking Eukanuba was a decent food for him.

    Now not so sure!

Have done more research this time and the Burns looks like it might suit him best

Try Symply dog food, vet nurse was very impressed, only food she found that stopped her dog's diarrhoea. I feed it and my dogs look good,
