Re: Four labradors in the house!
Glad Debsie is ok and considering the conditions she did very well. ;D Whereabouts was the ironman ? My sister is thinking of doing an ironman. She has just done ordinary triathlons upto now : oh and the London marathon twice : I still question if we are relly related but my mother is adamant we are.
She has done full Iron man challenges in Lanzarote, Cape Town, Austria and possibly others I can't remember. This was her first UK one and I think was only a half version but was near Aberfeldy. The weather was atrocious and she reckons it's her last UK one!
Re: Four labradors in the house! Fabulous dogs- that is the right number of Labradors in a house! (Or so I keep telling my OH!) Well done Debs- wow, can't even imagine it
Re: Four labradors in the house! Must say the weather up here has been pretty shocking today. Glad Debs is safe (and happy with her time) Much rather have a cuppa with a good book after a stroll in the woods.
Re: Four labradors in the house! Wow very impressive. Slightly different weather conditions up in Perthshire than Lanzarote and Cape Town I suppose especially today. ;D

Apparently they had helicopters out with shark spotting teams in Cape Town - as if the Ironman isn't enough!
Re: Four labradors in the house! Enough, I can't even go into the sea in this country for fear of a rogue lost shark Debsie is a tough girl that's for sure, hope she is ok. x
Re: Four labradors in the house! Gorgeous dogs and picture. Hope your sister gets back in one piece. Ironmans are super tough
Re: Four labradors in the house! Aberfeldy has nothing on that then! Just had a wee Google - a fabulous route (in nice weather ;D ). Had no idea they did Triathalons up there. Well used to the canoes and kayaks, some fab rivers up around there. Been to Kenmore many a time, had a timeshare at Aberfeldy we went to for years. Good on ya, Debs!
Re: Four labradors in the house! Lovely, gorgeous, beautiful dogs! And how nice to have 4 big dogs who all get along and are well-behaved - such fun for all of you!
Re: Four labradors in the house! Just reading about the ironman contest makes me green and want to vomit !Debs did amazing x
Re: Four labradors in the house! Sorry I missed this thread Lochan , what fab fab photos , all so beautiful
Re: Four labradors in the house! What lovely dogs, and super photos, thank you for posting them! Goodness, Debsie is incredible! That is one tough lady!!!!
Re: Four labradors in the house! Sharks ! I hadnt even thought of that. Guess its one way to get your swim time faster. ;D
Re: Four labradors in the house! NEVER doing a long distance triathlon in Scotland. Ever .I've been punched in the face, swum over and submerged by crowds of by adrenalin fuelled blokes, and had my goggles biffed off my head in mass swim starts before but this swim was something else! Im breaking myself back in gently this year after two years off full Ironman, raising labradors . did this race as part of a team so witnessed the carnage of the swim from safety of shore. My poor friend who had to get hauled out by the recue boat was gutted, as you train for these things for months poor soul. Right decision though she was in a right state when we were handed her. Weather had calmed a bit by the time I got going... Back to Ironman this year but only in sunny warm countries Jen tell your sister she'll love it but once she starts she'll get hooked so prepare to loose all free time training !En route to pick up Cuilli and Brods Ive really missed my pupsters cant wait to see em!
Re: Four labradors in the house! Sounds brutal, but you did so well.....hope your friend feels better soon..... X
Re: Four labradors in the house! Well done Debsie. ;D Did you just do the run then ? Sorry the word just is not appropriate. My sister does best at the cycling even though she does more running when training. I think she is a natural on a bike. Swimming is her weak point.
Right decision though she was in a right state when we were handed her.
That doesn't sound good being handed her. :-\ Personally to do those distances I'd use a boat and car. I bet those two big pups will be so excited to see you. ;D
Re: Four labradors in the house! Just handed C and B over to Debs at the station. An ecstatic welcome with much face licking and general wagging. The house seems quiet without four of them now. Hmmmm, perhaps a couple more pups would be in order......
