Oh dear, I'm sure that was a shock for you and him! Unfortunately the owners might not be too sympathetic, seeing as their dog was behind a fence. Sounds like the fence needs narrower gaps! Hope Jasper heals up okay!

i have been to see the people, they was very apologetic, they did not realise he could fit his head through the gap, they will get some chicken wire and put it all across the fence,
now i have cleaned it up it don't look that bad, it was all the blood what made me panic.
i don't think i need to see the vet

Oh my goodness, what a shock that must have been. Looks like a nasty cut but it's nice and clean. I wouldn't worry about a trip to the vet just yet. Just keep it clean and monitor it for a couple of days and see how he goes.

Hopefully you and jasper aren't still too shaken up about it!

Oh dear Lynne, that looks painful for your poor boy . I would get about a half teaspoon of salt and disolve into a mug of boiling water, let it cool completely and then gently wipe using cotton wool, it does look clean though , glad that the terrier owners were sorry about it :(

What a horrid shock for you and Jasper, at least the owners were apologetic. Noses do tend to bleed a lot but they usually heal quickly.
