was just taking jasper out on his walk, was walking past someone fenced back garden, when this dog put his head trough the fence and bite jaspers nose, i am fuming it was a little jack russel dog, jaspers head would not fit through the fence, he was covered ion blood, the owners never said a word, i am going back to see them now i have cleaned him up, i am shaking i am that annoyed
Re: fuming Oh poor Jasper I hope now you've cleaned him up it will heal quickly for the poor love. I totally sympathise I was furious that someone's dog bit Riley
Re: fuming Yes, calm down first Lynne , always the best move and then you can speak rationally , poor Jasper, what a nasty thing to happen to him , sorry it was a terrier
Re: fuming Oh dear, I'm sure that was a shock for you and him! Unfortunately the owners might not be too sympathetic, seeing as their dog was behind a fence. Sounds like the fence needs narrower gaps! Hope Jasper heals up okay!
Re: fuming i have been to see the people, they was very apologetic, they did not realise he could fit his head through the gap, they will get some chicken wire and put it all across the fence, now i have cleaned it up it don't look that bad, it was all the blood what made me panic. i don't think i need to see the vet
Re: fuming Oh my goodness, what a shock that must have been. Looks like a nasty cut but it's nice and clean. I wouldn't worry about a trip to the vet just yet. Just keep it clean and monitor it for a couple of days and see how he goes. Hopefully you and jasper aren't still too shaken up about it!
Re: fuming Oh dear Lynne, that looks painful for your poor boy . I would get about a half teaspoon of salt and disolve into a mug of boiling water, let it cool completely and then gently wipe using cotton wool, it does look clean though , glad that the terrier owners were sorry about it
Re: fuming What a horrid shock for you and Jasper, at least the owners were apologetic. Noses do tend to bleed a lot but they usually heal quickly. Alice
Re: fuming Glad the owners were apologetic and are going to take action. Poor Jasper that's probably quite sore for him it does look clean tho, nice job sorting it out. Big hugs for him from us x
Re: fuming just took him out for a run, can see the house from the field where it happened and the guy is doing the fence, so at least he as took action straight away so it wont happen again
Re: fuming Thats really good Lynne, that they have taken action straight away , much relief for you I`m sure
Re: fuming its a big relieve as i pass that house often, i am sure jasper wont for get it in an hurry
Re: fuming Sorry you both had such a fright Lynne, you've done a great job patching him up...poor love . Hope he was ok out on his run x
Re: fuming That's a pretty rapid response, good for them sorting it out quickly! Hope Jasper enjoyed his run and his nose isn't bothering him too much x
