I thought I'd share some photos of Mabel having fun on Barafundle beach in Pembrokeshire. I wish we could do this every day of our lives. She is now snoozing on the sofa.
Juno says can she come visit - please, please, please. Looks fantastic Claire. You and Mabel must be having a fantastic time, so much beach and so few people - doggy heaven. Enjoy, but don't forget to rest yourself
Lovely happy dog photos Must take ours soon , typically the beach is only ten minutes away and we don't go that often , your smashing photos will rectify that, soon
We are so jealous, living in Coventry means we are lucky to visit the sea that often, last time was August and she was on restricted exercise which meant no beach whatsoever. We are making up for it now though.
Fred and Annie are so jealous, wishing they could run around the beach and into the sea. The weather looks great too.
Mabel said she would love Juno to play with on the beach, especially now the sun is shining. Although she does say to tell Juno she's been very very scared of the squawking seagulls and high winds (details to follow in another thread).
Wonderful photos, Dexter would love a nice sandy beach to run about on. Ours is all pebbles and not much room, long but narrow.
We went to Porlock Wier in Exmoor and the pebbles were more like boulders! I was worried Riley would twist an ankle (can dogs twist ankles?) but he loved it bounding around! Big stretches of sand like this always looks glorious though. Most envious here!
I have no idea if dogs can twist ankles either. Yes Dexter loves the beach and people throwing the pebbles into the water I agree, most envious of all the sand too
Lovely photos! Ella is very impressed with Mabel's hole digging skills and says that's one of the best things about going to the beach
Juno says to tell Mabel that seagulls are nasty scary birds and it's best to stay away from them, but she likes high winds, particularly when the wind makes her ears flap
Hah, I so nearly bought a massive ball like Mabel's when I was in the UK. Then I realised we wouldn't have room in the car (they came inflated). But I'm definitely going to get one for my two - so much fun!!! What a lucky girl
Ouchy ouch!! I can donate plenty of sand from my car & kitchen floor to get you started ,I'm sure others will donate too
Unfortunately shortly after this photo it burst, OH won't buy another and I can't smuggle one home. Sometimes he can be a meanie
