Ages ago when we were talking about puppies chewing I mentioned that Barney used to have a lovely bed until Rusty as a puppy chewed it. They now have an old piece of carpet until Rusty is well out of the chewing stage. Pippa commented that barney is probably just as happy with his old bit of carpet. (I can't find the original post) Well today I know for sure that isn't true. A few weeks ago I brought two very smart dog beds for the living room to help incentivise staying on the floor as opposed to jumping on the sofa which Rusty was very very very persistent at. Because that room is always supervised the beds are still in tact. Today I'm working in the dining room for a change which is carpeted and let the dogs sleep int he room while I worked. After a bit Barney got up walked into the living room, dragged his smart bed into the dining room pushed it about until it was how he wanted then curled up happily. It seems that beds do beat carpet ;D
