from doing training with yummy treats, roast chicken, sausage, ham, ;) jasper is turning his nose up with his normal kimble food, :( he sits looking at the bowl with a very sad face :(
i don't know if i am doing the right or wrong thing, i have started to put chicken stock or a little bit of soup to his feed , within minutes the bowl is empty , is it ok to do this ? :)

I dont see why not Lynne, as long as the kibble isnt swimming in liquid, it wont hurt him x

Lynne, just remember that the training treats are part of his total daily diet. Remember to reduce his normal food accordingly. I dont see any issue with 'spicing up' his food a bit - but dont become a slave to it! If he is hungry, he will eat!!! :D

it is true jac, i have had 3 children and 2 grandchildren, one of the grandchildren i look after for 10 hours a day why my daughter and hubby worked, :) i have got to say jasper has been the hardest challenge i have ever faced, he is reasonably good, :)
sometimes i think he goes backwards rather than forward, :'(
i just want him to be a well mannered well behaved pet, not asking much hehehehe

Lynne you will get that for sure, you are putting the time, effort and love in you. He'll be a pleasure to you and everyone who meets him,he's that already!Like Dex he probably just needs fine tuning and reminding! from what i read and peoples experience, they are such clever dogs that they will always need a bit of that!jasper was one of our considered names for Dexter so Ive got a big soft spot for him....that and he looks so cute x

His tastes are becoming more sophisticated, maybe ;D Just as long as he doesn't start wanting the likes of duck egg pasta with truffles and foie gras... ;) But a bit of stock or soup on his dinner sounds like a fair deal to me.

Jasper is going to mature into a lovely dog :) He is still just a kid at the moment, but eventually he will become a true gentleman. You are doing all the right things to make that happen.
