Unfortunately attaching photos to a post doesn't work :( You need to upload pics to a photo hosting site like Flickr, then copy the BBcode and paste that into a post. I hope that makes sense. And I hope you get the contents of your hard drive back - how horribly frustrating.

Hmmm, I read the instructions. No one can see the photo but me?

Nope. You can't post photos direct to the site. You have to use a remote hosting site and paste in a link code.

Dubai heat is a mixture of both,we have the fierce dry 50 C through June-August....now it's dropping by a few degrees the wetness kicks in and we will have sticky and humid up until the end of October.
November-Mid March is perfect ....even cold at times and we do have rain ( the whole city celebrates and I've dashed home before today to grab Dex to get out for a walk in it).... Then the furnace starts to crank up again! X

Yes, the photo shows now and Oban looks great! Welcome from me, Wispa (nearly four) and Tuppence (two this weekend). We're in the south of England.

Hello and a warm welcome from me. I am a Bri, too, but live in Andorra with my husband and two monsters, Willow and Shadow, who are 13 months old. We live in a ski resort, and had a great time last winter losing the puppies in the deep snow :)

Here's a video of them having fun:

Granca, Awww, Wispa. As a newly married couple our first dog was a rescue English Springer Spaniel named Whisper. Still miss her.

snowbunny, love that snow. We live in a snow belt, surrounded by ski resorts. It was like your video when we brought 8 week old Oban home on Dec. 8. We actually had to delay pickup a day to allow the breeder to clear the snow from her driveway and walkways after a snowstorm. We had one of our coldest and snowiest winters and kept pee paths clear for little wee Oban with the snow blower but often I'd just go tramp down a fall of snow with my snowshoes on. Hence my name, Snowshoe. :)

Dexter. 50C. Nope, not ever going to visit Dubai. I start to wilt at 20C.

I'm looking forward to more snowshoe excursions this coming winter now mine are all grown up and able to go farther afield. Do they ever stop tripping you up by standing on the backs of them, though? ;)

LOL, I have four pairs of snowshoes. The old Beaver Tails have the very narrow tail but sometimes they still manage to step on it and then - face plant for me. Of course they are the ones I use for deep, untracked snow, like the snow in your video, so if I'm on them and I go down it can be pretty hard foundering in the deep snow to get back up. Especially since once I'm down the dog invariably thinks it's a game and jumps on top of me. :)

Four pairs?! Wow, I just have the one pair; a shiny new set of TSL Symbioz. I don't know if they're available in Canada, because they're a French brand. Awesome shoes and the best I've ever walked in - the massive flexibility makes them feel so stable and natural - but I obviously don't have your experience :)

It's sort of a fluke I have four pairs, not really a reflection of ability or experience. The Beaver tails were a Christmas present from the OH before we got married. He found two pairs of newer aluminum models at a thrift shop for ridiculously low amounts of money. One has the new ratchet bindings I like but are only good for packed trails. The others are only trail rated too, not for deep snow. The fourth pair are Algonquins, long and narrow for bush work that he had when he was running a trap line. He was going to throw them out (though he still goes out with a friend on his trap line) but I said no, I want them. They are heavy and the two wooden pairs need a lot more maintenance.
