So we put our dear old 13 and a bit year old Alaskan Malamute Jasper to sleep this morning. He has been a wonderful pal and it has been an honour to be owned by him . He had been struggling for some time but still I found the decision heartbreaking. My vet was wonderful and it was a very peaceful end. He was such a snow dog, winters here in North Yorkshire will never be the same again. Meg (lab age 4) is moping about, she knew he was poorly...extra cuddles for us all tonight. Feeling super sad but knew it was his time.
I feel for you, we've had to make that decision in the past too. You've given Jasper a wonderful life, not all pet are so lucky.
