    Hi!!

Dewey is my 4 month old chocolate lab and we are new to the forum :).

Training has been going really well for us, and Dewey is a smart boy..when he chooses to be haha.

When playing with other dogs, Dewey loves to jump up, and well the other dogs do not like that as much. I want to start training him early before he becomes heavier and harder to control.

Any suggestions would be appreciated :)
    Thanks!

Hi, welcome to the group. Dewey looks very handsome.
Does he jump when he is on the leash or just when he is running around with other dogs? If you keep him on a leash it is easier to control the behavior.
I'm sure you will get plenty of helpful suggestions around here.

Hi and welcome to the forum. Puppies are bouncy and do like jumping up. My girl (nearly 3 years old) will tolerate puppies jumping all over her, but then give a very small bark/growl when she's had enough, and they generally stop. They then all carry on playing nicely. Might be worth finding a friendly dog who is gentle with pups, but will tell them when it's enough. Also, be prepared to pop his lead back on if you can see the other dogs are getting a bit fed up. He will learn much quicker from other dogs with this kind of thing I find.
