Hello, my name is Kenn, and we (wife Dawn and I) have a 2.5 year old yellow Lab named Mika (pronounced meeka). I found my way here after discovering the Total Recall book. I've been a little lax on the training side of things and need to perfect that recall thing... I downloaded the book, and ordered a whistle, hope to make some positive improvements in my silly human communications soon. In the mean time, she has rediscovered Frisbee, and is figuring out the "catch" part of the game this time around, as opposed to the "chew" part... We picked her out of the litter at about 4 weeks...(actually I think she picked us)...brought home a bouncing 15lb pup a month later. Two and a half years later, and I can't imagine not having her around, although I'm still trying to figure out how that 15lbs of bouncing Labrador Retreiver turned into 90lbs of levitating loving Lab...but wouldn't have it any other way! We acquired him about 6 months ago and we are really pleased by his progress with us. This forum is a great place to learn lots of great tips and get support when you need it. Good on you with the Frisbee.....my previous pooch, a Border Collie, was Frisbee-obsessed but I haven't been able to interest Simba in anything involving fetch yet.... :
