Do you just keep reusing the bones? Or do they get eaten as well?

I wash them and reuse them, they gnaw them a bit but don't get any bone off.

Yes, Bruce can get Zaba to play at any time. Tatze is less easy to goad into a play session these days, she's a bit 'seen it all, done it all' now with the older GD pups (she still utterly adores the babies)

I an sooooooo relieved the crazy humping didn't last long. I was at a loss!

I'm so pleased with Bruce's recall. He sticks with me and comes back to voice and whistle.

Today a woman with six (six!) springers passed us - he stayed with me :D

This video shows what he does when I just stop with no comment.

That's lovely when they come and check on you even when they could just run off willy nilly. And good boy Bruce to not be distracted by SIX spaniels!

I just love his tail! I did cringe when he approached the muddy puddle though. Kudos to anybody who is prepared to deal with a GR coat!

Are Tatze and Zaba siblings? They look related (and not in a "well d'oh they're labs" way).

No, we were supposed to get siblings but I ended up getting Tatze three weeks before my friend got Zaba

One of my friends just posted this (awful, sorry) joke on FB:

    For Sale: Golden Retriever.
Had her 9 months, has yet to retrieve gold.
Should have just bought a metal detector.

Whatever do you mean? Bruce pees a 'golden shower' every morning lol

I have never seen a dog do such big wees! - but he does drink a lot. Guide Dog pups are trained not to wee or mark on walks so they all have bigger wees than pet dogs anyway.

    :)
