How have Charlie's eyes been ? Any results back? I've just made an appointment for Saturday to get Dexter's ears checked...they aren't right, there's something to clean every day but he isn't scratching or shaking his head ....I'm so scared after the episode last November......
Many sympathies with the ear thing! I'm also paranoid about catching ear trouble early for fear it develops into something. His eyes look much better, but he has been rubbing them (I can tell because on his chocolate face, it's obvious that there is a little less hair around his eyes - you can't see this on black and yellow dogs, but you can on chocolates because you see a pink rim of skin). He seems to be a bit more comfy though, and gunk is reducing. I've been keeping him out of the water on the Common - dunno, I just think it all started when he started swimming in a pond called Kingsmere, so just wondering if the water is a bit dirty. Taking him away to the country for the hols, so if it's an allergy hopefully a change of environment will help.
Sorry I missed coming back...it will be interesting to see if it clears up when you are away...not a bad idea to keep him out of water that you aren't convinced about....have a great trip and hope everything settles down while yo are away x
Hope Dexter's ears are ok. Such a worry. The vet called with the results of the swab - nothing. So back to some kind of irritant theory. I doubt it's an actually allergy. It would have happened before....
I think we usually mean if the eyes are a bit sticky and runny , but yes it can be applied to mean that they are mucky looking after a sleep .
