I noticed this on Emily Larlham's site (Kikopup) yesterday. I thought it might interest some of you. Tawzerdog is a USA positive dog training DVD retailer. And they are having a Black Friday sale today. All their videos are half price. They have some interesting ones, including The Kikopup guide to clicker training , which I have ordered to review.

WARNING: Be aware that you would need a DVD player that can cope with DVDs made in the US. I think some British made ones will only play DVDs from Europe.

It is also possible that extra tax would be added to the item on entry to the UK. The Tawzerdog owners explain this on their Facebook page

International Customers- We only charge you for shipping cost. We do not know what your region will charge you for VAT or Duty once they have your package and we have no control over it. We are aware that some regions charge less percentage if its educational material. Since all of our DVDs & Books are educational we will mark the shipping papers as educational material as well as the outside of the box, hopefully that will help. Please keep in mind if you order other non-educational products like harnesses and combine them in the same order as educational DVDs, your country may see that on the invoice and charge you their full percentage, whatever that is. Thanks- Debbie

Despite all that, thought it might appeal to some of you. Lots of clicker training DVDs on there too.

I sometimes order fabric from the States. If you buy several items, it can pay (or more to the point, NOT pay), to ship them as separate packages rather than as one order.

That's interesting. I order two DVDs and the postage was $15 - I have no idea how that compares with the average

I was thinking from the customs point of view. A low value small package is much more likely to come straight to you than be stopped in customs. $15 sounds a lot for postage though...
