We got the bloods back yesterday and they showed a significant discrepancy in her adrenal glands. She went into the vets at 8.30am today and I picked her up at 2.30pm. They took bloods first thing then injected her with a medication, then re-took bloods 5 hours later to see if levels dropped. We won't have the results until Monday but they told me to read up on Cushings disease and Addison's disease as it is highly likely it's one of these. They did say there is a possibility that it's not either of these and we would talk more on Monday either way. I just can't believe what my poor girl has been through in her short life. I know both conditions are manageable, but I am devastated.
Oh Naya, you poor thing and poor Harley too. I don't know anything about either disease, but fingers crossed you can get a good treatment plan. Thank goodness you trusted your instincts to take her to the vets, Sending hugs
Poor you. I'm afraid I don't have any helpful advice on these conditions but wanted to send good wishes. You must be so worried.
Huge, huge hugs. It is so unfair. Try not to worry too much until Monday when you will know for sure; and keep reminding yourself that it is manageable and that you and your girl will cope, of course you will. If we can do anything at all to help, you know where we are.
I'm so sorry you're having such a stressful time. Its so hard when they're ill, i hope its not either. Love and Hugs to you all
I am so sorry Harley is feeling poorly and that she may have any illness but she is so lucky to have a mom that noticed so quickly and going to provide everything possible.
Oh no poor Harley! Fingers crossed it isn't either of those things but of course you will cope. Harley has the best mam and you will get through it together x
So sorry for Harley and for you too. It's going to seem a long weekend (why do these things always seem to coincide with weekends?), but try to have some lovely walks if Harley's up for that. I'm sure you'll cope, whatever the results - and hoping it might just be a temporary blip anyway.
Lots of good wishes and hopes for you @Naya , for Harley and for you too , poorly dogs are such a worry, hugs xxxxx
Don't worry Naya. Once you know what you are dealing with you will have a way forward. Everything will be fine, with a plan. Harley knows no different. She is still your Harley.
Really sorry to hear this Naya. Wishing you and Harley all the best (and fingers crossed for the results on Monday).
