I have never had a dog games fleece harness move like that - no matter how hard Charlie pulls, or does a bucking bronko impression. I agree that the lead attachment far enough back is important though, as it the fit. I think a Y shaped harness that is too big does slip round in a poor way, and some other makes seem to have a sort of "pinch" action (I find it a bit hard to describe - it's like the pressure pulls the harness into itself) if the lead attachment is too far forward. I dislike seeing a Y shaped harness used with a front ring though, I just think they are not suitable to be used like that. I see the article on the site says that the trick is to use a double ended lead, but I think that would be very easy to get wrong if a dog is lunging (as young dogs do).
There is a nice review of a range of harnesses on the main site its by Jo Laurens. Might be of interest.
thanks everyone. I got a perfect fit harness for him so i'll see how it goes with him. I went for the heavy duty one so he looks like he's going to some sort of bondage disco. he's finding it very comfortable and I feel very confindant that it won't break.
