Well the wait is over!! Harry is home, he's had some lunch now sleeping!! Won't come out his crate though, I suppose he's a bit nervous with new surroundings
Re: Harry is home!!!!! Bit concerned, he's been home since 1 but has yet to leave his crate and hasn't been to toilet yet
Re: Harry is home!!!!! Has he eaten or had a drink yet ? Much as you dont want to scare him at all , maybe you could coax him out with food or just gently take him out and cuddle him ? The big wide world is often a scarey place for a very young pup , he will be missing his Mum and siblings, be confused and anxious too, thats all very normal
Re: Harry is home!!!!! Yes he had his lunch now just gave him his dinner but doesn't seem to interested in it. Have tried to coax him out but he is more interested in sleeping
Re: Harry is home!!!!! Congratulations on your new puppy!! Looking forward to seeing the photos of him! He is probably a bit worried and maybe frightened - I think I would pick him up and give him a cuddle, and then take him outside for a wee.
Re: Harry is home!!!!! Charlie was the same - I put him down, he picked up his duck toy and took it to his bed where the bit of vetbed that smelled of mum had been placed. He thought that was the best place to be for a good few hours - but of course, he needed a wee before long, and he soon recovered enough to eat. By the way, six months later and he hasn't stopped wanting food, and has only just stopped weeing ALL the time.... They soon settle in.first few days are a bit nerve wracking though...but lovely, enjoy your pup.
Re: Harry is home!!!!! Wonderful that your new pup is home I'm sure he'll gradually relax and start to explore. It's a big experience for him, as everyone has said.
Re: Harry is home!!!!! He'll probably be into everything before long. Hope he's settling ok and welcome home Harry !
