Really concerned about the lack of water being drunk. Hopefully tomorrow will improve, he was raised on a farm so coming to a home with 3 children is probably very scary for him. I just wanna hold him all the time :))

Hmmm..how many times has he had a wee? Are you feeding kibble?

Yes he is on kibble, been once today so far!! I've changed his bowls so they are slightly raised as he seem to only eat if we held his bowl up.

You could try putting a bit of water in your palm and see if he will lick it, then move your hand to his water bowl? Or see whether he will lick a small ice chip in your hand? If he is interested in the ice chip, drop it in his water bowl.

These worked for me when I was teaching Charlie to take a sip of water on cue because he always got hiccups, which drove me a bit nuts...

If he is eating, poo is likely to come soon enough :) ...

Lilly rarely drinks from her water bowl. Prefers puddles of course ::)
We just try and make sure she has plenty of water mixed in with her kibble, making it really sloppy. I sometimes wonders where she finds all the fluids to pee!
Sounds like the poor wee soul is a bit overwhelmed. Bless..... :)

That's a very good tip from Jacqui, to mix water in with his kibble.

Welcome Harry... ;D ;D ;D Nice to read he is starting to settle in...be warned though if he is like Charlie the first week is nearly all taken up with sleeping & watch out for the snoring ;)

Even now Charlie will play for longer but when enoughs enough it's back to bed...you can't help worrying though. I've sat for ages looking & thinking is he OK...am i doing things right, have i over fed him etc etc...it is just like having your first baby ;D Now we are getting to know how each other tick....IT's just great. Harry will be ok he's in safe hands ;) you'll enjoy the next couple of weeks as he starts getting cheeky & pushing the boundries!!! Have fun.....it's just an amazing time ;D
