That must have felt very nice to see her be so happy and come through it well! And how lovely that the vets enjoyed her so much, I think that's a good sign she's getting the very best of care there.

Well done, hope it's good news when it comes. I can empathise with the post op stuff but obviously Chepi's spay was just routine. It's tiring looking after a post op lab who just wants to run around.
Anyway, have a peaceful weekend. :)

Thanks everyone, I am happy to say that Hattie slept all night as usual, ate her breakfast, went outside and is currently snoozing on her rug next to me :)

Charlie on the other hand is reserved and staying in bed, I think he knows something is wrong with Hattie. He will only come out to eat and go outside, is this normal? :( xx

He is obviously a very sensitive boy Helen, and worried because Hattie isn't her normal self, and because you have been worried.

Try to stay matter-of-fact and cheerful; he will respond to that I am sure, though it may take a little while until he is back to normal.

Re: Hattie's gone in for her Surgery ;(;(;(;(

Just got back from the Vets for Hattie's 7 day post op check up and she's on antibiotics as it would appear she has had a nibble and half of it is inflamed, so ABs to stop any infection. I am so upset with myself for not keeping a close enough watch, she has done so well leaving it alone and now this has happened, I feel just dreadful :'( :'( still on 2 x 15 minute walks per day. Back next Wednesday to have the stitches removed. xxx

Don't beat yourself up about it. A determined dog will always find a way and an infection is always possible even if they don't. She has the ABs now so hopefully it will settle soon and all will be well by the time her stitches come out :)
