Haven't seen one of those before!

Walking along the voie verte yesterday morning in the autumn sunshine, just as we were about to let Juno off lead after crossing a road, we saw some people approaching with what we thought was someone on a bike. As we came closer I kept Juno on a loose lead and then discovered that the person on a bike was not on a bike at all! It was an elderly gentleman on the strangest looking motorised wheelchair I have ever seen. Juno has seen numerous people in wheelchairs on our walks so I was not too concerned until I heard the strange whirring noise it was making. Ok, treat in hand and loose lead and we continued until as we approached the elderly gentleman he asked if he could say hello to Juno (in French, of course). He was obviously a dog lover as he sat in his chair talking quietly to Juno and she approached for a sniff of a hand which he held out to her. Juno then approached closer and had a good sniff of the blankets covering his legs while he petted her. So we had a nice little chat with him and his daughter and son-in-law about her age and how beautiful she was :rolleyes: before we all continued on our way. Really pleased with how my girl behaved in new situation :D:D

How lovely, I bet the elderly chap absolutely loved petting Juno and getting the opportunity to speak with you too.

Well done Juno. Very brave letting a strange man on a very strange contraption stroke her. (I mean a stranger not a strange man ;) ) I bet she made his day as well :)

What a good girl Juno - that would have had my dog in full-on barking mode, I think! How nice for the elderly man, too. :)

That's lovely. I'm sure the man really loved having some doggie time.
