Based on Snowbunny's Kids thread I though you might enjoy our kid experience yesterday. A little boy wanted to come home with us and his mother had to come intervene.. When I got back from the washroom when we were leaving my Aunt's nursing home I found the OH and Oban talking to a man and little boy. The little boy was maybe about four years old and giving Oban big pets and hugs and I showed him some hand signals for SIT, DOWN and STAND. They had two dogs at home of their own, a 13 year old and a puppy so the little boy wasn't afraid and knew to duck the lethal wagging tail and the slobbery tongue. But when I said we had to leave he announced he would come with us. Quite sure of himself he was, if the dog was leaving with us so was he. LOL, I didn't know his mother was sitting with a group in the lounge area and watching all this, she came to reclaim her son. My gosh, he was cute, I almost would have taken him. KIDDING A side note, this made it pretty plain to me how bad people can use a pet to lure a child. Currently running in our news is a story of a little girl who has been missing for years, and it's known a strange man had asked some kids to help him find his dog, authorities think she fell for it.
