    Hi all

I'm looking at Labrador breeders and wanted to know what health tests I should be looking for?

In Pippa book choosing the perfect puppy she states that I should look for hips, eyes, pra, elbows but some breeders also test for CNM, EIC , SD2, so what should I be looking for at the very least as not all breeders test for these?

Also I want to make a post on my search for breeders were do I post?

Hi there @jenny200 . In the UK the Kennel Club only require an eye test and a hip score. Elbow score is mentioned but not essential. I'm also researching breeders at the moment for a late summer puppy (fingers crossed) and I'm discounting breeders who only do minimum testing even if they have included elbows. I'm looking for a puppy where preferably both parents are fully tested or as a minimum both parents have hips, eyes, elbows and one parent has all the rest of the tests and is not affected or a carrier of anything. If a test shows carrier status I want the other parent to have been tested and to be clear to ensure healthy puppies.
