My 6 year old lab has never been exposed to the joy of a Kong! I want to start giving her frozen Kong's when I'm at work so that she has something to keep her busy (she isn't into toys). What are some good ways to stuff the Kong? She has never had human food and she is getting spayed next week so I don't want to introduce too much to her before then so she doesn't have any tummy issues before the surgery. I was thinking a frozen one with some mashed sweet potatoes and a little bit of her kibble to start with might do the trick.

You answered your own question with the potatoes kibble combo. What out on the potatoes. Too much could loosen his dumps. I stuff a kong with ground turkey. I think there is a very long thread on this subject. Try the search box.

Here is a link to the thread that has loads of ideas: http://thelabradorforum.com/threads/stuffed-kongs.5133/

I generally mash a tin of sardines up and mix it with kibble and water - enough to fill six large and six medium kongs. That's my "go to" filler. I also use raw minced pork, beef or turkey, which is super easy. If I roast a chicken, I often use the juices from that, unless I'm making stock from it. Just add this to the kibble after you've soaked it, because otherwise it coats the bits of kibble so the water doesn't get in.
