I have an 8 month old beautiful Lab, but then don’t we all. I’ve had several Labs prior to Riley. However, she’s my 1st girl and my oh my. She is my most difficult to train. My boys never gave me the problems she has. I’m wondering if it’s because of gender and she hasn’t been spayed yet.
Hello and welcome. I doubt it is gender or spay related. All dogs have different personalities, so probably just that. 8 months is a challenging age, you have an overgrown puppy who has not proofed training yet. Be consistent and with a bit of patience, she will get there. My Meg was a challenge at 8 months, but a delight by a year with lots of training good luck.
Hi Patti, welcome to the forum! I agreed with EDP - the difference from your other dogs is most likely just random chance - 8 months is a common age for pups to be a bit of a handful! Patience, and calm consistent training, will win in the end. Hang on in there!
