Just got a beautiful new lab male puppy aged 16 weeks old
Noticed a slight limp last Saturday but it went the following day and thought no more about it .
This Thursday night heard a horrible excrutiating scream after he had gone into garden have a wee. It was so upsetting. It was awful to hear him
It was dark and just returned to back door so not sure what exactly happened but don’t think he fell to warrant such as injury as he is too small
He had a definite limp and whimpering with pain
Took him to the emergency vet who started to scare me with all sorts of stories about what it could be. Pano, elbow dysplasia ,etc. Investigations that he would possibly need etc.
    My heart sank
    We were so upset
Left with a bottle of metacam and decided to let him rest for a couple of days to see if limp improved with a view to returning to own vet on Monday for X-rays after the week end
He is rested , cut out walks as think I may have over walked him but he still has a slight limp but does not seem in pain and wants to play.
Just wondered if any forum members can relate to this scenario and offer any advice.
    Many thanks

Hi Deena, welcome to the forum!

I'm afraid I don't have any first hand experience to share (hopefully someone with that will be along shortly), but I hope your puppy is well again soon. Do keep us updated.
