    Hi everyone

I'm the proud new owner of a fox red lab puppy. My other two dogs are Springadors. I've always used a 210 1/2 whistle.

Can I carry on using this with my lab too or do I need a separate whistle. I'd be grateful for advice from those who work labs and springers.

    Thank you!

Hi there. Congratulations on your new pup! Acme officially suggest the 211.5 for Labs as it carries a little further. However, if you plan to keep your pup within about 100 yards of you, the 210.5 should be fine :).

If you're going to work all the dogs at once, and want them to respond separately, a different pitch for your new dog may be a good plan! But the easiest work around is usually to use one whistle, recall them all together, and send them back out separately by name. :)
