Hi everybody. I feel I should start with an apology. I registered yesterday and immediately posted a question on the training section without introducing myself. This was because I didn't look at the home page properly and so missed the introduction bit sorry. I'm Jen and I have 2 black labs Scott and Scout. They are brothers and are 2 1/2 years old. Before Scott and Scout I had a black lab called Murphy. I had him for 15 years and I have to admit going from a 15 year old I knew like the back of my hand to 2 little tear always was a bit of a shock. We live in a barn on my family's farm in Lancashire. We are very lucky to have about 3/4 of an acre of garden (securely fenced !!!) to run, play and train in. Every morning come rain or shine we go for a long walk around the lanes with Scott and Scout's best friends Itsy and Bitsy. The names might conjur up an image of 2 small petite little dogs. They are actually 2 big thundering rottweillers ! Scott and Scout love them. We have 3 other dogs in our extended family Harry, Pip and Ralph. They are all rescue dogs of unknown DNA and have been with us about 6 years. They all get on really well thankfully. We all live down the same lane so there's always doggy fun going on down on this farm. You could sometimes change the word fun in that sentence to mayhem but either way the dogs have a great time. I think I've waffled on for long enough. I look forward to getting to know you all Jen
Re: Hello eventually Hiya Jen!! From me with my lot. Harry a springer x wirehaired pointer, Alfie a Bernese and Charlie (Charlotte) a labrador x cocker. Your life sounds like a fabulous episode of Darling Buds of May, how brilliant. You couldn't really not have dogs where you live, it sounds idillic. Would lurve to see some pics of Scott and Scout. You're brave taking on 2 puppies! Is it any easier now that they're a little older? Looking forward to hearing about them. It's a lovely forum, I get withdrawal when I've not been on for a day or two!
Re: Hello eventually Hi tartanmouse I can assure you it's not that idyllic. Muddy perhaps a better description although not at the moment but we are very lucky to live where we do. Will put pics on when I've worked out how ?! 2 puppies at once deffinately is a handful but they have got easier as they've got older. If nothing else I'm not tripping over them now they're grown and I feel I know them more now. As in how they will react in situation etc although they still surprise me! Forum chatting is very addictive Jen
Re: Hello eventually I have already said hello - but hello again officially! Don't worry about the question before intro - I did the same, and everyone forgave me. They ar a lovely bunch on here, hope you enjoy the forum!
Re: Hello eventually Hi Jen and gang, welcome from Lisa and lonely Simba (1 yr old chocolate labX)! I'm envious of all your dogs and all that fenced (!) space!! Enjoy the forum - it's a great place for fun and info....

Re: Hello eventually Hi Jen, I have just realised how rude I have been and not welcomed you and your boys to the forum. We are me Helen, Hattie 6 years and our rather naughty rescue Lab x Pointer Charlie 2 1/2 years. Have lots of fun on this lovely forum. Helen x
