Hi. Newbie here. What I mean really newbie about this breed. I have a cat at home. If I want to bring a dog into the home I need to learn about dog and maybe need to consider a lot of things first. Not a final decision yet. So maybe I need to read the forum first and come into a conclusion later.

This forum has been a lifeline for me. We fell in love with our little girl when she was 3 days old (it was our friends who had the puppies) and had to learn so much about how to raise and look after her.

We have her her 9 weeks now and it was been such a learning experience and she has helped teach us what she wants/needs too.

If you are going for it go into it with an open mind. We had all these great ideas of doing this/not doing that etc and in the end we do what feels right for us and our little girl.

Hi, I completely agree with you, research everything you can about the breed. Particularly read the puppy forum posts on here to get an idea of how much work is involved in owning a dog. Then you can make a sensible decision. Good luck

Thank you Saffy and Christine for all the advice. One thing that comes into my mind is to change the lifestyle. I fully understand that being a cat person is totally different than being a dog person.
