Hi. We have a 5 month old 'American' Labrador. Dad is a fox red and mum pale blonde so our lovely pup has a very interesting coat colour. From before we got him from the breeder at 9 weeks old, I have followed the Labradorsite and forum as a guest. It has been so helpful with everything we needed to prepare us and give pup the best start possible so thank you Pippa and everyone who posts. Pup is certainly true to type. We have progressed from terror tot with the crocodile teeth to the present day where he's now become a terrible teen, with good days and not so good ones when he pinches anything he can if he's in that sort of mood and doesn't want to listen to his cues in training. He was the definite alpha in the litter so I have had a bit of a battle to get him to learn he is not alpha in our house. But saying this we have made so much progress with him thanks to everyone on here and he is growing up into a very loving, friendly dog with oodles of energy ( certainly don't need to go to the gym to keep fit nowadays) and a bit of a character and getting him has been one of the best things we have ever done. I'm sure as we continue to grow together that there will be many times when I have concerns or questions which I know I can raise on the forum and get helpful responses. Looking forward to continue following you all.
