I recently adopted our Yellow Lab (Nilla like the wafer) from a breeder. She has a limp in her back leg and they don't know why but the vet checked her and said she looked fine. So she came to us in hopes she will be able to become a service dog for my son. I can't afford to have someone else train her at the moment so I'm just working on basic obedience training and house breaking at the moment. Either way we all love her and will be keeping her regardless of he status as a service dog. I am working in crate training as well and she is doing very good for a young puppy (8wks-9 tomorrow). I wanted to say high and maybe ask some advice here and there with training. I've never had a pure blood lab before just mixes so there might be some difference in training with her than with my past dogs. I was also quite young the last time we had a puppy so I didn't train him. No one did really. This is my first experience training and I am trying to do it the best way for both me, her and my kiddos. Thank you for all future advice I'm sure I'll be looking through all the forums soon.
