A big hello from me and Merla, my 7 month old black lab girl. I've been following the forums for several months now, and have finally got round to joining. I've absolutely loved reading all the comments, advice and shared problems- it's great there's so many labrador fans around! Merla is my first lab, although I've had other dogs and done a little bit of competitive obedience a long time ago. We're going to try to do some gundog training, and it's going pretty well so far- I've found Pippa's methods really helpful in breaking down what I need to do to teach each new thing. I'm looking forward to sharing our progress and, of course, the inevitable comedy moments with you all!
Re: Hello everyone! A very big welcome to you and Merla from me Helen, Hattie 6 years and our rescue Charlie 3 years. You will have great fun on this amazing forum. Good luck with the gundog training.
Re: Hello everyone! Very warm welcome from me, two year old black Lab Sam and rescue girl Millie , hope you enjoy being a part of this lovely friendly forum and yes, we do have our moments of complete lunacy ;D
Re: Hello everyone! Welcome to you and Merla. It is a very good forum to join Ternaya and Harley (21 weeks old)
Re: Hello everyone! Thanks for all your lovely greetings, guys! Are all you UK based people fed up of walking in the rain? Actually, just rain I could cope with, it's the wind/rain combination that gets to me- horizontal rain is not good!!
Re: Hello everyone! Welcome! I am so fed up of this rain! My pup Penny is on restricted exercise at the mo so I've been able to get away with not going out in this foul weather! Wishing for some proper winter weather now!
Re: Hello everyone! My daughter and I got throughly soaked this afternoon when we took Harley to the park.......I wasn't going to go out today but she was very restless! Wish the summer would hurry up, I hate the rain
Re: Hello everyone! Fed up with the rain? No, no - we don't mind it one little bit. Well, they don't. They particularly like their rain combined with liberal amounts of top soil. Me, I've well and truly had enough of it. Welcome to the forum! Clare, Brew and Theakston
Re: Hello everyone! I opened a pressie on Christmas morning, and it was the most unglam, floor length, olive green, square, cotton canvas poncho, approved by craft folk men with very big beards who make shelters in woods and things. No doubt using their ponchos as a bivouac. (I got some nicer things too). I had to try really, really, really hard to look pleased. I'm getting quite fond of, and grateful for, it now. So long as it's dark.
Re: Hello everyone! Hi there and welcome! I know you will enjoy the forum, it's such a wonderful place for support and fun! I feel the same way about the snow we are getting here (western Canada).... We've had double the usual amount in Nov. and Dec.....and usually our WORST winter months are Jan. and Feb.....sigh....
Re: Hello everyone! Hello and welcome from me and Bess. We don't mind the rain but are not so keen on the strong winds and dark mornings. Alice
Re: Hello everyone!
Julie, you live in London. Is it ever dark enough???! ;D Clare
Not really! If I put the hood up, and Charlie gets underneath too, no-one will know it's us though! ;D
