or 'Master' Bowie as we call him! I'm a designer, writer and 'first-time' owner of (almost) 2 year old male labrador, who still acts like a puppy and a brat sometimes, but we love him to death! Bowie is my first 'proper' pet - other than a family goldfish, bird and an inherited goat - so it's a completely new experience for me!! I look forward to connecting with like-minded labrador owners/lovers out there and hopefully be able to share stories.
Welcome to the forum from me and my three Labs, one of each colour You have a goat?! Awesome! I love goats! When I grow up I want a goat PS I’m nearly 40, just not quite “grown up” yet
Hi Fiona, Willow, Shadow and Luna, Thanks for the welcome message! 40 is the new 20 nowadays! ;-) Unfortunately our goat (called Ren from 'The Ren & Stimpy Show') passed away a few years ago. She was pretty old when we had her - back story: when we purchased our property, she and the ride-on lawn mower came with the property She was fretting at first but then she was warming up to us and became our little family. She was such a gentle and beautiful creature and we missed her dearly. I wish Bowie could meet her! Anyway love your blog!! especially the story on how you got into having Labradors in the first place. Kinna reminded me when we got Bowie!! Hope to stay in touch! Welcome to you from Mags, Tatze and Keir from Manchester UK Tatze is my pet dog, a black Lab and she's four years old. Tatze means 'paw' in German. Keir is my fifth Guide Dog puppy, a yellow Golden Retriever/Flatcoat cross and he's seven months old.
Hi and welcome from me and my 4 year old girl, Harley in the UK. Look forward to hearing more about Master Bowie
Thanks for the welcome message!! Love Tatze's pic lying on his back (and grinning!!) - like Bowie does when we scratch his tummy!! How's your experience having Guide Dog puppies? I was thinking to foster one too but don't think I can bear parting with him/her when the times come!! I bet it's rewarding though!! Riesa & Bowie Read Bowie's escapades: masterbowie.blogspot.com.au
Hello Naya and Harley!!! Look forward to hearing more about Harley as well and hopefully share stories!!
Yes, parting with them is totally heartbreaking and it gets harder with each pup. But, all the same, it’s the best ‘job’ in the world! It’s very addictive! .
We do! I think that's partly why we decided to have Bowie It's amazing how animals/pets change one's life
