Hey Everyone! just wanted say a quick hello from Me and Stella. She's an absolutely adorable 16 week old black lab. We've had her about 2 months now, and she has been an absolute joy! The only problem we have is jumping up on company when they come over, but slowly we're getting there! The information and knowledge base here is just amazing! I never know just how little I knew about dogs until I stumbled cross this site a month or so before we got out little gal. I feel so much better prepared knowing that this site is here, and of course the people who make it what it is. Keep up the awesome work Pippa! You're a god send to us and our companions! How can I attach pictures? I keep getting a message that says it hasn't passed the security clearance.
Re: Hello from Canada! Hi to you and Stella! Welcome to the forum I think you need to make a certain number off posts before you can add a picture - 15??? Not entirely sure
Re: Hello from Canada!
well then I geuss I have to spam my own thread then! hahaha
Nah. just keep talking to us
Re: Hello from Canada! fair enough. Seems like an easy community to get along with here. Some of the other forums I'm apart of seem so confrontational that it really is drag participating. This one seems different which I'm very happy about, since I want to get as much information as I can without being berated or yelled at.
Re: Hello from Canada! We don't berate people ( much ;D ) We do have healthy argument, but try to always keep it civil, and if not....."we have the delete button"
Re: Hello from Canada! Arguments are fine in my book, no matter what not everyone will agree all the time. It's personal attacks and ideologues that get me...of which there seems to be very few around these parts. On another note Stella had her last immunizations last night, so I'm very much looking forward to taking her to our big urban park here after work today! She needs a fair bit of practice walking on her lead.
Re: Hello from Canada! Good luck with that Garrett! Bet there will be FAR too many distractions for any lead stuff. Have you read this thread?
Re: Hello from Canada! Yes I have. Unfortuantely leads are law where I live, so off lead has to be done a fair drive from where I live. We've worked on off lead in the yard, and she's ok, but obviously very few distractions.
Re: Hello from Canada! Ah yeah.....Lisa mentioned this. Just remember to work on the recall when in distracting scenarios too. Its the main thing I wish I knew about when Lilly was a pup. We really missed that out completely at the time and are now paying the price (she really loves her wildlife hunting). I am in Scotland by the way. Reasonably near to St Andrews
