    Hi Carnie & Ash

I have two new puppies too, Jack & Barney who are 12 weeks & 5 days old now. We have had one toilet trip around 3am and got up at 6am most mornings, but some nights we haven't had the toilet trip, and they have woken around 5.30am. Last night they slept from 10.30pm-6.10am, only waking up when my hubby's alarm went off for work (they currently sleep in their crate in our bedroom ;D). For the first week or so, when they went back to sleep after breakfast, i would catch up on some sleep on the sofa with them.

They are such good fun and i absolutely adore them, i don't even mind getting up at 3am! This may be because we lost our last two old labs within 6 months of each other recently, and we hated the empty, quiet and boring house without them around, so are enjoying the pitter patter of tiny pads and claws again. I will probably be on here moaning soon that my shoes have been eaten, as I know it is only a matter of time lol

Love your photo record, what a great idea

    Hi Carnie & Ash,

I am new here too. We will pick up our pup in 11 days. How did you add the photos?

Hi everyone. I set up a free Flickr account just for this forum. I simply upload my photo's via my phone app or the computer and click the share button. You simply click the BBCode option and choose the size of photo you want, then past that code directly into a forum post here.

Ash is now 4 months old and has taken over the sofa despite our plans to never have him on it. Here is a photo using the method above and selecting small size....

Ash is handsome and looks a lot like my Luka at that age. Luka is 16 months old next month and a big lad. I remember bringing him home at 8 weeks and yes it was a bit life changing. Once home he actually was really good. I had a crate for him and he took to it easily. I had applied a sealer to our terra cotta flooring and it paid dividends as we had many wee and poos inside before the potty training settled in. He slept through the nights and was not on the same level of the house as me in the bedroom and never cried. There were several months where I wondered if he would ever be that gentle calm dog I had wanted! We are getting there, he had matured a lot but us still a pup. It has been a great experience so far with many great years ahead. Labs are the best.
