Hello everyone! My name is Chelsey and I've been a lab owner for 9 years now. My husband and I got our first lab, Lacey, 9 years ago today. She was a rescue and had some issues at first, but she turned out to me my best friend, shadow, and one the best dogs I've ever known. Sadly, she was diagnosed with spleen cancer and passed away on September 9th, 2017. That was one of the hardest days of my life. Lacey was always there for me and was by my side through my life's biggest milestones including marriage and the birth of 3 children...they were her kids too, really. She loved them and watched over them. We all loved her fiercely and miss her every second. The house was quiet and lonely without Lacey's clicking paws, and warm welcomes. We knew we wanted another lab, but didn't know it would happen so fast. I heard about a local breeder from some friends of ours. We went to "look" at puppies on Saturday and the rest is history! Von, our little girl chocolate lab stole our hearts. She was just perfect. She is a little shy and laid back just like Lacey. She is 12 weeks old. I can't wait to chat with you all and learn as much about labs, puppies especially, as possible. Lacey was a year old when we adopted her, so this whole puppy thing is uncharted territory!
Hi Chelsey from Holly and me in Wales. I'm sorry to hear about Lacey. I hope that you have many happy years with Von and look forward to seeing some pictures. Where are you in Colorado? My G-grandfather lived in western CO (Delta) for many years before his 8 children scattered across the world.
