Hello! I had a look at the forum and it’s nice to read about other people’s experiences with their dogs, whether it’s similar training problems or just about the fun of life with a dog! So, I thought I’d join and learn a bit more I have a 2yr old rescue dog, Lucky, who isn’t a lab, but definitely has a few of the traits I’ve seen people talking about here… I adopted Lucky at 7 months, he wasn’t well socialised, terrified of new places, had never walked on a lead, had separation anxiety and no recall at all. He was also still a “crocopup” (as I’ve seen people call it on this forum) and I had bruises on my legs for the first couple of months! As a new dog owner, I had a lot to learn, and we've been through a lot of roast chicken! Most of these problems are behind us, and now I’m working on improving his recall. He is very friendly and thinks that other people and dogs must want to be his best friend – which is where I’ve been struggling. I started working through Total Recall, which seems to be working pretty well for us so far! So… hello from me and Lucky!
Hi and welcome! I'm another "not a Lab" person and joined the Forum to learn more about Labs, refresh my rusty training chops and prepare for the shock of a possible next puppy or dog. I also live in Germany part of the year, in Bavaria (Regensburg). Are you anywhere nearby? Looking forward to hearing more about Lucky and seeing more pictures!
