Hi everyone! Happy New Year ☺️ I’m new to the site so hope I’ve managed this right! I began 2020 looking after a beautiful yellow (more white than yellow ) Lab named Otto, for one of the UK’s well-known assistance dog charities . For health reasons it was decided towards the end of the year that he wasn’t going to be an assistance dog, but would take on a different but still important role within the charity, and we were offered to keep him (which of course we jumped at!!)! Long story short, January 6th this year marks our first official “gotcha day” - of owning our first dog, and a Lab which we’ve both always wanted. We both have some experience of spaniels and terriers (and my partner with the odd lovely Boxer!) but we’ve both always wanted a Lab since we were both kids! Anyway, essay over - I’m just excited to be here with the Lab I never thought I’d have! Looking forward to getting involved and learning from many of the forums ☺️
