I look after Hugo (12 month old black "working" lab) during the day when his mum and dad are at work.
I am reading Pippa's book Total Recall and am about to start the "pre recall" stage (rewarding and blowing the whistle) but am confused as to whether I can do this with him or whether only his mum and dad should do it? What do you suggest?
    Thank you!

Hi Lesley, multiple trainers have the potential to cause confusion in the early stages, but some people do make a success of it. If more than one person is going to be working on the same training system, it's a good idea for them to get together and make sure they are on the same page so to speak! So listen to the way that Hugo's family blow the whistle, and make sure that you blow the whistle in exactly the same way. And that you are all agreed at which point in training you are working on. It's best if one person is in charge and sets the pace.
