I would just like to introduce myself, and my 8 month old puppy. Her name is Daisy and she's a golden/yellow Labrador. I've had Daisy for a total of 5 months now, and in some ways I do already regret bringing her into the family home because my family and I have formed an unbelievably strong bond and close relationship with her. She seems quite big for her age, she's very, very strong, and I am absolutely amazed at how intelligent she is. We spoil her. The vet warned me on our last visit to be careful of overfeeding her, but she has a voracious appetite. We keep her inside the house, she has a bed in the kitchen. Daisy doesn't like the dark, so we keep a small light on for her at night. She seems to like Classic FM or Lyric FM playing down low in the background. Does this sound ridiculous? We also created our own songs for her, "Hello, Puppy" is one, which we sing to her when we get home from the shops, and "Ah Look", which we sing for her when we begin play time. This might all sound rather mad or foolish or both but that's what having her in the home has done to us all. Anyway, that's a little bit about her. I hope to get to know you all better over time. Will.

Welcome William from Hattie 10 years and our rescue boy Charlie 7 years. Singing is a must when you have dogs, I am pretty sure everyone in our village thinks I am absolutely crazy :D
You will fit in very nicely x

Hello and welcome from me, Poppy and Merlin, in Germany. It sounds like Daisy has found her perfect home (but be careful, don't let her get fat, it's terribly bad for them).

Well done on the singing front - I think it's pretty much a forum prerequisite that you serenade your dog...

Hi from Holly and me in Wales. Singing is perfectly normal behaviour on this forum. I can't sing, but I do talk to Holly. She seems to enjoy a running commentary when we're walking, doing jobs around the house, driving etc.

Your vet is right about over feeding. Labs don't have voracious appetites; they have no concept of 'enough'. They'll eat everything you put in front of them so it's easy to over feed them.

Hi, and welcome from Ariel and I!

I’m alone with Ariel each weekday while hubby’s at work - I sing, talk to her, dance with her. It’s part of owning a lab! :D
