Hi Everyone I live in Lincolnshire with my husband and our four children. We have a Cavalier King Charles spaniel called Raffles and we are planning on adding a Labrador to our family later this year. We used to have a chocolate Labrador called Max who was a wonderful dog and 9 years after we lost him we still miss him alot. Raffles joined us 4 years ago and he is a brilliant little dog. I am sure I will have lots of questions especially about introducing a puppy to an older dog and general questions about having 2 dogs together. Nichola
Hi Nichola , from Lynne, George and Henry - as you can see we are the next county along from you, nice to speak to you.
Hi and welcome from me and 2.5 year old fox red girl, Harley. Sounds like you have a very busy household. I love watching dogs grow up with kids. Is there a specific colour or sex of lab that you prefer?
Hi Nichola and an extra special welcome to the forum from me and Juno, my 21 month old chocolate girl, as we're in Lincolnshire as well . It's lovely to see a new member from Lincolnshire. Are you planning for your new puppy to be a boy or girl? Any preference for colour?
Thank you everyone for the lovely welcome. We would like a black boy puppy this time although the breeder I am in touch with is planning a mixed chocolate and black litter next. So we might have another chocolate boy. We don't mind really about the colour we are just so excited to be getting another Lab. We have waited a long time as we wanted the children to be older. My youngest will be 7 in August and it feels like the right time now.
Hello to you from me and another Dexter....we are the 'Desert' model as we live in the UAE.... I'm sure Raffles and the new pup will have some great fun together....good luck with all your planning ....and the most important thing 'Puppy Shopping' !
We weren't bothered about our puppy's colour. We just wanted a girl. The original expectation with our chosen breeder was that we would have a yellow girl, but her yellow girl didn't come into season as anticipated . After waiting some more our puppy was going to be the product of a chocolate mum and black dad and we decided we would go for a black girl, as we had first choice of the girls that sounded easy. When the puppies arrived and we had to confirm our colour preference to the breeder it suddenly became a chocolate girl .
Welcome! What a lovely time you will have planning for and choosing your puppy before the crazy bundle turns your lives upside down in the best possible way
Welcome from me and great big Pongo in south Wales! Looking forward to hearing all your adventures....
