Hello. I am Daniel and I am a full time college student. My dream is to one day own the trio of labs. I got my first black lab, Scattapaws, in November 2012. I rescued him from the shelter. He was 13 weeks old and the most adorable little things that I have ever seen. I have been training him for the past 3 years. He knows some tricks, but the training this far has been mainly manners/obedience and hunting. On Wednesday, I was walking through the shelter down the street from my house and they had a litter of lab puppies that were just put up for adoption. Unfortunately, I left them there because I felt I wasn't ready for another dog. I took pictures of them and looking at the jail cell they were locked in, I had to go back and save them. I couldn't sleep all night. I got to the shelter Thursday morning at 8 am, even though adoptions don't start until noon because it is first come first serve. After a long 4 hour wait, I finally got to go back there. The male jumped in my lap and started playing with me. He was definitely coming home with me. They also had a female and she was a little timid, but once I held her for a while, she finally started to play. Now I had a decision to make. Which one do I bring home. I decided that I needed them both. I am now the proud owner of 2 yellow labs (1 male, 1 female). The male is Tucker and the female is Tallulah. I tried to keep it short, but it was hard. I look forward to talking and getting advice from y'all.
Gosh Daniel, hi and welcome! Sounds like you have a full house there! I can imagine that life is going to be pretty hectic for you over the next weeks and months, so please let us know how things are going, and whether we can help with any advice. Best of luck to you from Poppy (reddish-gold three year old lab) and me, from Germany.
Hi Daniel and welcome to the forum. It definitely sounds like you have your hands full! I have litter mates, too - Willow (black girl) and Shadow (yellow boy), who are now 14 months old. How old are your new two? We welcome photos here - the more the merrier - so please do share, if you can! You need to use a service like Flickr, Photobucket or Imgur and then paste the BBCode (which looks like [ IMG]....[/IMG]) into your message here.
Welcome Daniel to the forum. You have got your hands full I have a black lab called Fred, he is 18mths old.
Hi and welcome from me and Juno, my 16month old chocolate girl, from Normandy, France. hat a kind, generous heart you have to adopt both puppies. Think you're going to have your hands full for a few months
Hello and welcome! A reminder how difficult it is to see puppies and say No!!! Certainly going to be lots of fun and sleepless nights at your house for a while.....how is your scatterpaws coping so far? Good luck from me and my black girl in Scotland jac

Hi Daniel, welcome from me and 6month old girl Ella from Australia ☺ Wow, three labs at once! Can't wait to see some photos ☺☺
WElcome from us as well, from north of you in Ontario, Canada. What a great big heart you have. Plus, you are a very brave man to take on puppy littermates. Can't wait to see them.
Hi and welcome. I have 3 labs called Doug midge and Rory, its hard but for me 3 is the perfect number. good luck and hope it goes well.
Thanks for the replies. They puppies are 9 weeks and Scattapaws is 3 years. Scattapaws is coping fairly well. He has never liked small dogs, so I have had to keep close watch. I think once they are a few months old he will adapt to them. Scattapaws: Tucker & Tallulah I had to "save" them from this filth! More pictures to come.
Oh they are beautiful, and Scattapaws is lovely too. Those poor pups - dumped... But they are lucky that you came along!
Had one of the pups hurt his paws? Looks like he lost some fur on his legs, maybe on the wire at the shelter?
Tucker has that spot on his front left leg. The shelter said he was brought in with it. Tallulah has some scratches on her snout and nobody knows how they got there. When I brought them to my vet (because I don't trust the shelter) she said that Tucker's leg will have the scar tissue and scar on the skin for the rest of his life, but Tallulah's snout should heal up well. I have to put Neosporin on her snout twice a day.
Who is the girl Scattapaws is sharing his bed with? He has such a smiley face. I have just one two year old yellow girl called Molly. With two you are going to have your hands full, but it will be great fun. Best wishes from Oxford, UK
Lovely pups and Scattapaws looks a lovely boy. Look forward to hearing how they all settle down together and seeing more photos.
He was in my little sisters bed. The puppies woke me up twice last night (for about an hour each time) with the whimpering. I took them outside and they didn't potty. I guess they still don't like the cage.
