@LB everyone uses different foods. Best advice is to buy the best you can afford that you can get locally or are prepared to order online. There is a helpful website that is geared towards the UK called All About Dog Food You might find it helpful, but as long as you go for a mid-priced food or above there is some school of thought that there probably isn't a huge difference and just aim for one that suits your dog - a nice kickable poo that achieves a good weight, shiny coat etc

No, you should keep feeding puppy food until the puppy is at the age stated by the manufacturer, and then switch to their adult food. This varies from brand to brand; some are 9 months, up to about 18 months, I think, depending on the food you're on. It's important that you stick with this, because puppy food contains a different balance of nutrients to adult food. You can change brands, by all means, if you prefer a different brand. Do this over the course of about ten days to minimise tummy issues.
