Hello - I am writing from the Twin Cities in Minneapolis, MN. I'm not an official lab owner yet but I've got my name and place holding a puppy from a wonderful lab breeder. Puppies were born a few weeks and will open heir eyes soon. I'm getting a yellow male lab. I couldn't be more excited. I'm here to learn as much as I can do that this will be a wonderful experience for my family and our new fur baby. Cheers!
How exciting for you! Welcome to the forum from Holly and me in Monmouth, Wales. There's lots of useful information on the website, and plenty of experienced Labrador owners on the forum who can help. I guess you've already got the Happy Puppy Handbook - essential reading for puppy owners!
Welcome from me, Hattie 9 years and our rescue boy Charlie 6 years, we live in Hampshire UK. Very exciting times. What are you going to call your puppy? Good luck with your puppy. xx
One thing that we di to prepare was to crawl around the house at puppy level. Look for anything that a puppy might find interesting such as cables or things that he might like to chew. We felt quite daft doing it but is was very useful!
Hello again - we don't have a name yet. But we are creating a list and am hoping to decide as a family. We have about 2 months yet till he comes home so we'll have some time to come up with something perfect. ❤️
Welcome to you from Mags, Tatze and Mollie from Manchester UK Tatze is my pet dog, a black Lab and she's four years old. Tatze means 'paw' in German. Mollie is my fourth Guide Dog puppy, a black Lab who is nine months old. Lesson one - within a week your cute bundle of love will become a marauding crocodile! .
Choosing a name is always tricky. My wife and I spent weeks looking at possible names. I'm sure that you'll find something that's right for you.
