Hi all I’ve a new Fox Red Lab, Red,he’s about 9 weeks. He’s a good boy with toilet training etc but he WILL dig the lawn and I can’t seem to distract him away. I’ve been trying time-out but certain parts of the lawn are just too delicious and exciting to ignore- any advice gratefully received. Dawn x
Hi dawn our pup did the same, we put her on a long line and if she started to dig we reeled her in and distracted her with a toy. She's 18 months now and still needs to be supervised or she will still try to dig holes! Good luck
Thank you, we’ve now fenced off the grass so he can go out unsupervised in part of the garden which has taken the pressure off a bit. We allow him on the grass with us and then remove him if he starts to dig!
