We have a six month old chocolate Labrador a male I could never have envisaged how hard getting a puppy would be although of course I knew it would not be without hard work and challenges has anyone experienced the same when they just go completely mad flying in and out the garden and the lounge ? I also found the courage to take him to the park on an expendable lead 8 metres which at first seemed to go well until he started going mad and almost ripped by arm out of his socket he’s had no proper training as there have been no puppy classes due to the pandemic I’m hanging in there but I’d welcome anyone saying they’ve experienced the same issues along with the constant chewing of anything he can in the house
Hi Susan, welcome to the forum Puppies are hard work! Pippa has written a bit about managing an overexcited puppy on our main site, and she's also written about chewing behaviors here. They might be of interest to you As you'll see from some of our old threads, lots of our members have been where you are now - there is light at the end of the tunnel though!
