Hi, I'm so glad I found this page, I've found some really useful advice and information. My question is somebody suggested I buy Flash a pigs ear/pigs trotter for him to chew in the garden. I have today bought him one and it took him all of 5 mins to start getting pieces of bone off of it. Is it ok for him to eat this? Many thanks. Wendy

Is it raw? If so, absolutely. My two enjoy a nice raw pig trotter on occasion for their lunch. Be prepared for him to be a little loose in the bottom department the first couple of times he has one, though.

I bought it from a pet shop, so I don't think it's raw

Hi Wendy - I haven't ever fed pigs trotters.
I think if any bone is cooked then it could be a hazard. Although not sure how much bone is in a trotter as opposed to other tissue.
    Sorry wish I could help

I don't know, either. I only feed raw trotters. There is a lot of bone in them, and I wouldn't feed them cooked, definitely.
